Power Road Studios, Chiswick W4

Akoya have entered into a management agreement with Groundworks to manage the flexible workspace offering at Power Road Studios, Chiswick.

HEWN were instructed by Akoya to find a flexible workspace operator to run the 3,500 sq.ft. space on the ground and lower ground floors; it is operators second site, joining Good Space, their first scheme in Queen’s Park. They will be running the co-working provision, and provide an events programme for Power Road occupiers.

Will Kinnear, Director at HEWN comments: “The right operator for the right space is the mantra at HEWN. We introduced several operators to Akoya, but it was clear that Groundworks was the natural fit for the space and neighbourhood.”

The 1930’s former Singer sewing machine factory has recently been transformed into a creative campus by Brunswick Property Partners (the owners of Akoya) and is now home to a range of dynamic and innovative businesses; with independent café The Singer Coffee Bar, courtyard and privately let office spaces within the industrial buildings.

“We have an ambitious vision for the future of the workplace at Akoya, but this rests on ensuring that we add to the communities we work in and with the right operators” says Jon Cochrane, Associate Director at Akoya, “We’re excited to be delivering coworking space at Power Road Studios with Groundworks, which complements our offering.”

Founder of Groundworks & Good Space, David Brown adds: “Our mission is to create spaces for neighbours and communities to thrive, we look forward to working with Akoya and opening our doors to local businesses and entrepreneurs. Bring on the warmer weather and community events.”

Doors are now open at Groundworks in Power Road Studios, and membership starts from £99/mo +VAT.
