Spaces opens first London location in Oxford Street

HEWN has acquired Mappin House, Oxford Street, London W1 on behalf of Spaces, a Dutch-based operator acquired by Regus in 2014.

Mappin House is Spaces’ first location in the UK and offers “creative working on one of the most famous streets in the world”.  Occupiers can choose either a private office or a membership of Spaces if they “don’t need an office of their own but do want a professional and inspiring workplace”. Occupiers also have a range of meeting rooms to choose from.

As with similar flexible spaces across London, Spaces emphasises the community aspect of what it offers and says it is suitable for well-known and established companies as well as start-ups and entrepreneurs. Situated in the former Mappin & Webb jewellery store just five minutes from Oxford Circus tube station, it is one of the best located centres in the West End.

HEWN’s Will Kinnear commented: “This is an exciting new entry into London’s flexible office market. The space is beautifully designed and I have no doubt that Spaces will proved to be extremely popular with a range of occupiers who are looking for more flexible co-working style space rather than a traditional serviced office. We are delighted to have helped Regus secure this centre on behalf of Spaces.”
Key features of Mappin House are:

• Mappin House, Winsley Street, London W1
• Spaces is situated on the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th floors
• 28,370 sq.ft of flexible space including private offices, shared space and meeting rooms
